Defending the Death of the Constitution

AP: Ashcroft defends monitoring of inmate-attorney conversations. “This is a very narrowly focused thing, less than 0.01 percent of all the prison population,” Ashcroft said. “None of the information could be used against them subsequently in court that was a result of what is overheard.”

We protect suspects’ rights to protect the rights of the innocent. If this abomination is found constitutional, we are all in deep, deep trouble.
