  • Apple Computer: Apple Computer Statement on Draft W3C Patent Policy. Apple supports a W3C patent policy with an immutable commitment to royalty-free licensing for fundamental Web standards.

  • Danny Weitzner, chair of the W3C Patent Policy Working Group, writes that the objections are being heard and that the group is adding open-source advocates to the formal discussion. This is progress.
