As Anti-Racism Conference Proceeds, So Does Hate

Well-meaning United Nations officials and remaining delegates are still talking about how to combat racism and hatred at the World Conference on Racism in Durban, South Africa.

Meanwhile:

  • Protestants throw rocks at Catholic schoolchildren in Belfast.
  • Israel and the Palestinians pursue their war.
  • The Balkan hatreds continue, seemingly endlessly.
  • Afganistan’s fundamentalist Islamic government threatens foreign-aid workers with death for “spreading Christianity.”
  • And so on…

    Just another day on the planet.
