Last fall, Pacific Century Cyberworks and its tycoon founder, Richard Li, announced an audacious project, to offer a new kind of media via high-speed, satellite-fed Internet access to tens of millions of Asian households.
Now his company has launched an integral piece of the project, a London studio where more than 300 (so far) people are creating the content for the TV/Web coupling, which has been named — rather grandly — “Network of the World”. (Warning: The higher the speed of your Net connection, the more you’ll get out of this site).
