Patent Office Under the Fiscal Gun

I’ve been a critic of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (PTO), which I believe has been negligent in its duties lately — granting a slew of bad patents and generally mishandling things.

But Congress is moving to carve off some of the revenues generated by fees. It’s hard for me to see how this can improve the broken system.

    Online Journalism Growing Up

FilmThreat.com: Deconstructing Harry: Ain’t it Unethical? “One tends to question Harry’s credibility due to the volume of gifts and gratuities he receives from both studios and filmmakers. Not only does he admit it, he begs for it!”

This is an important piece. One online journalist is telling another that some kinds of behavior just don’t fly, even in this new world.
