Look Who’s in Hong Kong…
Tuesday, Nov. 2 —
I went to an announcement of a new Java venture capital fund, and guess who’s part of the show: Scott McNealy, Sun Microsystems’ CEO. Here, he’s schmoozing with some of Sun’s biggest Hong Kong customers.
He didn’t speak at the press conference, though he spoke privately with other Java Fund investors. After talking with his customers at lunch (“A free lunch,” he claimed), he visited briefly with me and Michelle Levander, a former Mercury News reporter who’s now technology editor of the Asian Wall Street Journal. Watch this space for some of what he said.
